WELCOME TO WORSHIP at Edinburgh Northwest Kirk in church and on-line. We are glad you have been able to join us and hope you enjoy worshipping with us.

ELDERS’ ENVELOPES Could district elders please collect their Communion visit envelopes from the Session House.

REVEREND JULIA CATO’S SERVICE OF INDUCTION is being held in Pennywell Kirk on Thursday, 30 May at 7 pm and all are welcome. Julia will be taking up her new role as of Friday, 31 May and we look forward to making her feel as welcome as possible.

CAR SHARING If you are attending Julia’s induction service and would be happy to offer a lift to one or two people, please let Louise in the Kirk Office know. Equally if you are in need of a lift to the service, please contact Louise.

COMMUNION SERVICE – SUNDAY, 2 JUNE Please note that on Sunday, 2 June there will be a joint service of Communion to be held in Cramond Kirk at 10.30 am. This will be Reverend Julia Cato’s first Sunday as our new minister and she will be preached in by Very Reverend Dr Andrew McLellan. There will be no Morning Prayer service at Cramond Kirk and no 11 am service at Pennywell Kirk that morning.

‘THE PLACE TO BE’ COFFEE MORNING is held in Pennywell Kirk Hall every Monday at 10 am. All are welcome.

AND A COMMUNITY LUNCH is being held between 12 noon and 1.30 pm in Pennywell Kirk Hall on Tuesday, 28 May to which all are welcome.

CRAMOND COFFEE & CHAT takes place every Monday from 10.30 am to 12 noon in the Gathering Space of Cramond Kirk Hall and all are welcome.

MOVIE AFTERNOON Pennywell Kirk are holding a movie afternoon at 3.30 pm today and all are welcome. And the movie is “The Rabbit Proof Fence”, the true story of 3 Aboriginal girls who escape from a mission settlement in order to find their way home.

MANSE FURNITURE Julia and her family will be moving from a small bungalow into the Manse at 35 Silverknowes Road towards the end of July. If anyone has any sofas, chairs, coffee tables, small kitchen table/chairs, garden furniture, curtains etc. they are planning to replace, the family will be glad to make use of them in the Manse office, public rooms, kitchen and garden. Please contact Cramond Kirk Office if you have any items you wish to donate.

FRESH START A huge thank you for the recent donation of beautiful, clean bed linen. Fresh Start are currently in need of tea towels, small pots & pans & small electrical appliances. Donations can be left on the Fresh Start table in the Kirk Hall at any time or delivered to the Fresh Start warehouse at 22-24 Ferry Road Drive from Mon – Thurs, 9 am – 4 pm. Further information on Fresh Start can be found HERE.

THE GRAPEVINE MAGAZINE It is hoped to have the June issue of Grapevine ready for collection by deliverers on Sunday, 9 June.

CRAMOND COMMUNITY CHOIR are performing their summer concert in the Kirk Halls on Tuesday, 28 May at 7.30 pm. Tickets cost £10, including a drink & nibbles, and are available from Ian Huggan at ianhuggan@blueyonder.co.uk

SONGS OF PRAISE is being recorded in Charlotte Chapel on Tuesday, 28 May from 7 pm – 10 pm. All are welcome to join Steph MacLeod for a celebration of modern Christian music. Free tickets are available HERE

THE CRAMOND WALKERS next walk is on Wednesday, 29 May with a walk starting in Peebles and following the John Buchan Way to Cademuir Forest and then the 6 km figure of 8 Pilots Trail which includes the summit of Cademuir Hill (415m). Meet : Barnton Avenue West at 9.30 am or Kingsmeadow car park in Peebles at 10.20 am. Further information is available HERE 

EDINBURGH NORTHWEST KIRK BIBLE STUDY GROUP meets in Cramond Kirk Hall every second Wednesday at 7 pm and the next meeting is on Wednesday, 29 May. All are welcome and if you’d like to join via zoom instead of in person, please contact Louise in the Kirk Office.

CRAMOND CAMPUS CONSULTATION A public drop in and consultation event on the proposed development of the former Cramond campus site is being held in Cramond Kirk Halls on Wednesday, 29 May from 3.30 pm – 8 pm and on Thursday, 30 May from 4.15 pm – 8 pm. All are welcome.

CORSTORPHINE FAIR is being held in St Margaret’s Park from 11 am – 4 pm on Saturday, 1 June.

ROMANTIC CHORAL MUSIC The Seven Hills Chorus will be performing a selection of sacred choral music in St Anne’s Parish Church, Kaimes Road on Saturday, 1 June at 7.30 pm. Tickets cost £15 and will be available at the door on the night.

PENTECOST PRAISE! An ecumenical Pentecost Songs of Praise evening is being held in Granton Baptist Church at 6 pm on Sunday, 2 June. All are welcome.

LIFT FOOD DRIVE Low Income Families Together (LIFT) are holding a food drive on Thursday, 30 May from 10am - 1pm in the Muirhouse Millennium Centre car park. If anyone has any contacts with supermarkets or cash & carry's etc, LIFT would appreciate your help in making contact. Items that can be accepted on the day include any cupboard food (tins, packets, rice, pasta, cereal), long life milk, treats for children, household cleaning items, personal hygiene items.

LIVE STREAMING Please note that the 10 am service at Cramond Kirk and the 11 am service at Pennywell Kirk are live streamed to the Kirk website every Sunday morning. The cameras will focus on the front of the Kirks – the pulpit, lectern and Communion Table. However some of those sitting at the front may also be in camera shot. For those of you watching from home, the link to Cramond Kirk's live stream can be found HERE and Pennywell Kirk's service is available HERE. The live services will also be available to watch later on Facebook and on the website.
