THE LORD’S PRAYER

HYMN
We three kings of orient are.
Bearing gifts we traverse afar.
Field and fountain, moor and mountain
Following yonder star.
O star of wonder,
Star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.
Born a King on Bethlehem’s plain,
Gold I bring to crown Him again,
King for ever, ceasing never,
Over us all to reign.
Frankincense to offer have I,
Incense, owns a Deity nigh,
Prayer and praising, all men raising
Worship Him, God most high.
Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume,
Breathes a life of gathering gloom.
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying
Sealed in the stone-cold tomb.
Glorious now behold Him arise,
King and God and Sacrifice!
Heaven sings, Alleluia,
Alleluia, the earth replies.

The Great Thanksgiving
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
It is indeed right this day to give you thanks, O God.
In fulfilment of your promise, you pour your Spirit upon us, filling us with your gifts, leading us into all truth, and uniting peoples of many tongues in the living of the gospel day by day.
Infused with the Spirit, we join with your people of all places and times, with the whole company of heaven, and with all the saints, to proclaim your greatness
and sing your praise in the angels’ unending hymn:
Holy, Holy, Holy one, God of love and peace
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed is the one who comes
in the name of God.
Hosanna in the highest!
