GODLY PLAY A training course for anyone interested in teaching, using Godly Play materials, is being held from 22 -24 October at Duddingston Church. For registration details please contact the Kirk Office.
THE FAIR TRADE STALL will be up and running in Cramond Kirk Hall following the 10 am service on Sunday, 12 October so please don’t forget to stock up on your autumn treats.
ENK BOOK CLUB : PRACTICING THE WAY A book club, both in person and online, will be running on alternate Wednesday evenings from September to November and the next session is at 7 pm on 24 September. There is no need to commit to all the sessions and no Church or Bible background is needed. The Club will be exploring John Mark Comer’s book, Practicing the Way, which looks at incorporating spiritual disciplines into daily life to foster a deeper connection with God through the teachings of Jesus. If you would like to find out more or need help purchasing the book, please contact Rev Julia Cato.
A CHILDREN’S AUTUMN LUNCH CLUB is being held in Pennywell Kirk Hall on Wednesday, 15 October from 10 am to 1 pm. With lots of games and crafts as well as lunch, it promises to be a great way to spend a couple of hours. Further details and registration forms are available by emailing enkholidayclub@gmail.com
‘THE PLACE TO BE’ COFFEE MORNING is held in Pennywell Kirk Hall every Monday at 10 am with an outing on the first Monday of the month. Further details are available from Violetta on 07305 848150. All are welcome.
CRAMOND COFFEE & CHAT is on every Monday from 10.30 am to 12 noon in the Gathering Space of Cramond Kirk Hall and all are welcome.
CROSSREACH NEWS & CHRISTMAS CARDS The autumn CrossReach newsletter as well as the CrossReach Christmas card & calendar collection for 2025 are now available. A few newsletters and catalogues can be found at the Cramond Kirk doors and the full catalogue is also available HERE. Please support the work of CrossReach as you prepare for Christmas.
THE WEDNESDAY CLUB returns for its first meeting of the new term at 7.30 pm on 8 October in Cramond Kirk Hall with an introduction to the new committee, details of the planned talks and a quiz as well as teas and coffees. All are welcome.
THE MURRAYFIELD CRAMOND PROBUS CLUB will be holding its first meeting of the new session at 10.30 am on Wednesday, 8 October at the Royal Burgess Golf Club with their guest speaker, Neil McIntosh and his talk on “Davidson’s Mains – Now & Then”. THE CRAMOND WALKERS next walk is on Saturday, 11 October starting with a walk along the sands of Belhaven Bay and past East Links. Following a drive to Tyninghame Links car park the second part of the walk goes round the point and along Ravensheugh Sands. Meet : Barnton Avenue West at 10 am or John Muir car park at 10.50 am. EYES DOWN Drylaw Parish Church are holding a family bingo evening on Friday, 10 October at 7.30 pm. Tickets cost £2 (adult) & £1 (child) and includes refreshments. All are welcome.
FRESH START Many thanks for the recent donations of kitchen utensils, a lamp and the contents of a motorhome! Donations can be left on the Fresh Start table in the Kirk Hall at any time or delivered to the Fresh Start warehouse at 22-24 Ferry Road Drive from Mon–Thurs, 9 am – 4 pm.
CURRENCY COLLECTION Mary’s Meals has written to thank us for our donations of foreign and out of date currency. So far the currency collected has raised £410.01 for Mary’s Meals. If you have any currency you wish to donate, please leave it in the box in the Session House or hand it into the Kirk Office.
CALLING ALL KNITTERS! Pregnancy Counselling & Care Scotland is in need of knitted cardigans, hats and blankets for babies aged 0 – 2 years old. Any donations can be left with Louise in the Kirk Office. Further information on all the items they require for their baby packs can be found HERE
